Advances in technology have increased the demands on a vehicle’s components, especially the ECU.

This demand has reached the point where a single firmware to ECU configuration cannot meet the

market’s ECU requirements (even with increased capacity and processor speed).

The M1 series was conceived by MoTeC to overcome this one-to-one, firmware to ECU limitation, by

designing a system where operational efficiency, advanced features and flexibility are its primary ob-

jectives. At its core, M1 provides the ability to develop a suite of flexible and tailored solutions

(packages), making it ideal for any application (however complex) and category management.

M1 ECUs

The M1 Developers kit is to allow ECU programmers the ability to design and create their own customised ECU packages. This

means that rather than every customer having to use one generic firmware for every application, skilled individuals can customise

their ECU firmware to specifically meet the needs of their project.

Within the M1 ECU there are 3 levels of data-logging available. All ECU’s come with basic diagnostic logging, level 2

increases this to 100 channels at 200Hz and Level 3 increases this to 1000channels at 1000Hz.

The M1 ECU is ideally suited for plug-in applications with its advanced capabilities and high perfor-

mance processiong power. There are now two plug-in kits available for with the M1 ECU at its core.

The newly released Nissan GTR kit offers fantastic integration with the OE sensors and functions

as well offer superior control of the engines advanced capabilities.
